HowToGetFree.com is my site - designed to document and share my personal quest for financial freedom.
In January 2001, my wife introduced me to the book Rich Dad, Poor Dad. I already had my MBA at this point in my life, a great job consulting to some of the largest companies in the world and a career path, I thought, that would take me a lifetime to out grow. Rich Dad Poor Dad opened my eyes! With the exception of dreaming of winning the lottery, I had never thought about obtaining financial freedom on my own.
I define financial freedom as having enough passive income from businesses or assets so I do not have to work. Let me be clear: It’s not that I don’t want to work, my goal is to not HAVE to work. I now have the dream of working on only the projects I want to work on for the profits I wish to achieve.
Since being inspired by the Rich Dad Poor Dad book, I’ve:

- Been inspired over and over to get financially free
Over the last 9 years, I’ve struggled with finding other people who are also on the journey towards financial freedom.
So, I’ve decided put myself and my experiences out to the world via this site. I hope to find others who are also looking to become financially free and maybe some of my experiences and education will help others on their journey.
This site is a work in progress. For now, it’s a journal of my experiences so far, with a huge focus on my personal development. As this site grows, I hope it will expand to be a collaborative portal between myself and others who are on the same path.
My objectives for this site are:

1) be as open and honest with my journey as possible

2) document my learnings and lessons along the way

3) provide a real life example of how financial freedom is obtained by one man
